Why was PCE formed?
PCE was formed by a group of people who have a passion for Christian education and who are dedicated to expanding the opportunity for comprehensive Christian education at an affordable price to the broader community.
How is PCE organized?
PCE is a non-profit, non-denominational religious organization formed for the sole purpose of expanding Christian education. We are not part of, or affiliated with any other organization. We hold firm beliefs regarding our faith and our philosophy of Christian education and will conduct ourselves according to core values. Our statement of faith, philosophy of education and core values as well as our bylaws are available for your review on this website.
What is PCE’s purpose?
PCE is committed to providing premiere Christian education at an affordable price. Our vision is to establish and operate state-of-the-art Christian schools in partnership with the Christian community.
What are PCE’s plans?
To continue to build upon the 35+ years tradition of Capistrano Valley Christian Schools by providing a high quality, biblically based education for elementary, junior high and high school students. Our future plans include establishing a regional Christian high school in south Orange County, California. We will be reaching out to evangelical Christian churches, organizations, regional Christian colleges and universities and individuals to be partners with us in this noble endeavor.
How can I help PCE?
By volunteering to serve along side of us as we move forward. Current support and involvement opportunities will be posted on the website. We welcome your prayers that we will honor God in all of our efforts to expand Christian educational opportunities.
For CVCS families, faculty and staff...
What changes will be taking place at CVCS?
PCE does not intend to make changes to the schools current operations. CVCS is in solid financial condition, has experienced administrative leadership and dedicated faculty and staff. Over the longer term, we will be looking to relocate the high school to dedicated facilities while expanding the elementary and junior high schools on the schools current campus.
Why did PCE want to assume control of CVCS?
PCE was formed by people who have directly experienced the benefits of Christain education for their families at CVCS and have a passion for expanding such opportunities to a larger number of families. PCE believes that a non-denominational organization that is solely focused on Christian education is best suited for building on CVCS’s heritage while partnering with the broader evangelical Christian community to expand access to Christian education.
Why should we trust PCE to oversee CVCS?
PCE was created by people who have a passion for Christian education and who have been entrusted in leadership positions at CVCS in the past. The leadership of Capistrano Valley Church, who has overseen the school for the last 35 years, has enthusiastically voted to entrust the future of the school to PCE. We are delighted to have a growing number of prominent Christian leaders join us in support of our vision.
Will these changes affect tuition/other costs?
No. Tuition will not be used to fund PCE activities. We are planning to conduct dedicated capital campaigns to finance all PCE projects.
